All the participants were awarded with mementos in recognition of their contribution to the advancement of integral human development programs implemented by Caritas over a period of many years. In addition, the 53 women leaders were given cash grants of Rupees Five Thousand each and decorated with the traditional “Golden Shawl”. During the event, they shared their experiences and the achievements of their communities as well as testimonies of their personal growth since enlisting in the various social empowerment programs promoted by Caritas at grass root level. They also expressed their dreams for the future and the role they hope to play in animating rural communities towards social transformation.
