The second two-day residential Training Workshop under a Caritas Poland- supported project titled “Family Livelihood Support through Micro Finance Scheme” was held in the Caritas Auditorium on 16th and 17th November 2016. It was attended by 27 participants comprising Diocesan Program Coordinators, Finance Officers and Field Officers representing all 13 Diocesan Centres.
Two experienced micro finance consultants who work for non-profit and private sector organizations facilitated the training workshop.
They dealt with the concepts and modalities of micro credit, micro enterprise and livelihood development, income generation activities, small enterprise development and revolving loan programs. While sharing the best practices, salient features and critical success factors of different organizations who are engaged in micro credit schemes, the facilitators also provided the participants with insights into the new Micro Finance Act recently enacted by the Government.
