Upcoming Events - September 2014

  • Training on Drought resistant Cultivation Techniques will be held at SEDEC on 12th September. Nearly 30 Field Staff working on the “Substantiation of Community Institutions for Sustainable Agriculture to Ensure Food Security” Project in Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Amapara and Batticaloa Districts will participate in the program which will be facilitated by the Director (Extension and Training) of the Department of Agriculture, Peradeniya.
  • A Survey on Interreligious Harmony in Sri Lanka has been undertaken in 15 Districts covering all the Dioceses in Sri Lanka. The Open University of Sri Lanka and the University of Kelaniya will collaborate with Caritas Sri Lanka to carry out the Survey over the next few months. The project is funded by Caritas Norway.
  • 12th – 14th September – Seminar on Inter-religious Cohesion for a group of 50 persons from Moneragala, belonging to different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
