Validation of the research on Challenges and Future Directions of Children’s Education Rights in Plantation Communities of Sri Lanka was held on 9th of March from 2.00pm to 5.00pm at the Caritas SEDEC upper conference Hall.

The research is one of the major activities under the “Lighting the Lives of Plantation People” Program (LLPP) with the objective of understanding the present gaps prevalent in the educational system of the plantation sector.

The research is conducted by PassAsia (PVT) LTD, a leading research and consultancy firm who has years of expertise in the social development sector.  Under the LLPP Program, Caritas hopes to focus more on the research areas related to Health, Land & Housing, Livelihood and Culture & Heritage of the plantation communities in the future.

Prominent professors, academics and experts from the Plantation community joined in the validation process of the findings during the event held and shared their insights to improve the research literature and to align the findings towards more specific and concrete recommendation and conclusions with the objective of bringing in solutions by the relevant stakeholders once the findings are officially shared.
